The actress also stated that she is not yet prepared to share the entire details of her experience.
“I rarely say this as a woman, and I’m not prepared to share the narrative. Only once in my life have I been raped, and that time it was our colleague. He and I meet every other day. You have no idea how traumatized I am. Even though he is well-known in the broadcast community and I simply go into a little fright when I meet him, would anyone not ask why Lolo hasn’t mentioned it for the past six years if a woman of my caliber named him?
She is speaking now that he has a major TV job. Denial that “this did not happen” is the first thing that happens to women who experience sexual assault.
The next step is self-crucifixion: “I am the one who caused it; how did I permit it to occur? What was it I could have done? She explained, “All of these are taking place while you are processing.”
