Do2dtun Slams Whitemoney for Tribal Comments at 17th Headies Awards

Reality star Whitemoney has come under fire from Nigerian media personality Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, often known as Do2dtun, for his ethnocentric comments during the 17th Headies Awards ceremony.
It was discovered that Whitemoney claimed to be on stage on behalf of the Igbos during his acceptance speech at the Afrobeats Single Of The Year ceremony on Sunday at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, where he accepted the award on behalf of musician Flavour.
Some viewers, however, were offended by the statement and accused him of being tribalist for limiting Flavour’s fan base to Igbo people.
Do2dtun responded on his 𝕏 Twitter, criticizing Whitemoney for introducing tribal sentiment into the award event and emphasizing that Flavour’s win was for all Afrobeats fans.
“On behalf of the Igbos,” he wrote. I apologize; that was rather superfluous. That kind of story was unnecessary. It’s a Nigerian and Afrobeat award that was won by an African. #headies2025 ”
The feud between street pop artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, and his senior colleague Akorede Babatunde Okunola, better known by his stage name Saheed Osupa, was recently discussed by Do2dtun.
According to reports, Portable made fun of the seasoned Fuji musician for removing his song from streaming services due to copyright violations.

After the Fuji singer and his distributors complained, Portable was taken off Spotify and Apple Music for using a lyric from Osupa’s song.
In a widely shared video on the internet, Portable, infuriated by Osupa’s behavior, attacked the senior colleague for exposing his song.
The “Zazu Zeh” crooner criticized Osupa for not promoting his career like Pasuma and claimed that he is famous for nothing.
Do2dtun responded to the outburst by saying in a post on 𝕏 that Saheed Osupa will beat Portable for the insult from bus stop to bus stop.
