PDP in Intensive Care, Confidence in Damagum’s Leadership Waning – Suswam

Gabriel Suswam, former Governor of Benue State, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in the Intensive Care Unit.
According to reports, the country’s largest opposition party is embroiled in a leadership conflict for the job of National Secretary.
On Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Suswam stated that the Party’s interim National Chairman, Umar Damagum, has failed, and that many PDP members no longer believe in his leadership.
The former governor chastised Damagum for his agreement with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

He went on: “The acting chairman of the party has failed us, let’s call a spade a spade.”
When asked what he would do if given the chance, Suswam replied, “I would have done far better because I would not have entered into an agreement with the Minister of the FCT and then reneged on it.”
“I will reach an accord in cooperation with stakeholders. The party is in the intensive care unit, and several people have survived. I believe this if the correct action is taken, which I doubt. The majority of citizens no longer believe in the party’s leadership.
