PDP Is in Disarray, No Political Parties In 2027 Election – Akpabio Predicts

On Friday, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Nigerian Senate, said in Akwa Ibom State that there would be no political parties in the state for the general election scheduled for 2027.
The umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been badly wounded and is no longer able to protect the people, Akpabio said.
During his midterm empowerment briefing at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium, Akpabio, the senatorial representative for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, made these remarks.
After the empowerment ceremony, the Senate President went on to launch a number of significant projects in his district, announcing that roughly 68 projects will be put into service between Friday, May 16, and Thursday, May 17, 2025.
“There is nothing like a political party in 2027 in Akwa Ibom State again,” Akpabio stated as he spoke with him. All political parties have merged to support Senator Godswill Akpabio in the Senate of the Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District. All political parties have decided to support Governor Umo Eno for the 2027 governor’s race. Akwa Ibom has moved to support Senator Akpabio for the Senate, Eno for governor of Akwa Ibom State, and President Bola Tinubu.
“The umbrella is no longer able to protect the People’s Democratic Party, which is in ruins.”
The Senate President described the present governor, Umo Eno, as a man of peace who truly believes in God, pointing out that some people may say they believe in God but not truly live it out.
“Umo Eno is a peaceful man. Umo Eno is a devout man. I’m not referring about people who made verbal declarations of faith. I’m referring to people who sincerely practice God. “Umo Eno has united us all,” Akpabio remarked.
The president of the Senate expressed gratitude to his wife, Unoma Akpabio, for empowering the populace.
She acts in this way because she is aware that hunger is a political issue. Please, my wife, provide for my people whether or not I am present. Continue sharing. The Senate President added, “You will soon receive love from Akwa Ibom people.”
