PDP’s Okai: El-Rufai Is on a Revenge Mission, Desperate for Relevance

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai is allegedly on a vengeance trip against President Bola Tinubu, according to Usman Okai Austin, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to reports, El-Rufai’s assertion that Tinubu cannot win the 2027 presidential race coincides with Okai’s remarks. Smartphones with accessibility
Okai, who is speaking like a deity, stated in a Facebook post on Tuesday that El-Rufai should let Nigerians decide Tinubu’s fate in 2027, not him.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader was called “ego-driven” and “pure sour grapes” by Okai, who also emphasized that his successor, Governor Uba Sani, had methodically undermined his political significance.
He claims that after manipulating his childhood friend Uba into becoming his chief of staff, El-Rufai used him as a weapon against Shehu Sani.
“El-Rufai is more concerned with Nasir El-Rufai than he is with Nigeria,” he stated. Tinubu’s fate in 2027 should be decided by Nigerians, not El-Rufai, who attempts to steal the people’s power and speaks like God.

This is the same El-Rufai who, despite the fact that Uba and Shehu are brothers, used Uba Sani as a weapon against Shehu Sani after manipulating his childhood friend into becoming his chief of staff. Water was not as thick as blood.
“As a kingmaker, he is now a pawn that has been used, abandoned, and left fuming with anger.”
President Tinubu seems to have entirely sidelined El-Rufai, according to Okai, and the former governor is frantically attempting to defend himself.
The PDP Chieftain also criticized El-Rufai for managing extensive insecurity and fostering religious imbalance, which led to Kaduna becoming Nigeria’s first Muslim-Muslim ticket state.
He continued, “No calls, no reconciliation. Simply calculating, cold contempt. Currently on a vengeance tour, El-Rufai is giving interviews, accusing others of betrayal, and frantically attempting to provide an explanation.
He even had the gall to suggest that Tinubu should adopt his polarizing tactics. However, Tinubu outperformed him. The VP position went to Shettima. The ministerial fantasy fell apart.
If Tinubu had appointed him as a minister or if Uba Sani had continued to be his puppet, El-Rufai would be praising him now. But now? As he thrashes in the political mud and cries for importance, he is just another resentful former governor.
