Police Reveal How They Rescued 23 Kidnap Victims in Kaduna

Following a coordinated operation by its officers, the Nigeria Police’s Kaduna State Command has reported the successful rescue of 23 kidnapped victims.
According to reports, DSC Mansir Hassan, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development in a statement.
It was discovered that the operation was started in response to trustworthy information about the movements of armed bandits in the Kajuru region.

On February 2, 2025, Hassan claims that police officers entered the jungle close to Doka Village in the Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA) and engaged a gang of armed bandits who were trying to take their prisoners to Kajuru Forest.

According to the statement, the operation, which was spearheaded by the Kajuru Division’s Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and aided by military forces, caused the bandits to suffer heavy fatalities, forcing them to retreat into the forest while injured.

23 abducted victims who had been reported missing in Kauru LGA were successfully retrieved as a result of this operation, and they are now safely reunited with their family.

The statement added that in order to discourage any future criminal activity, the area is currently being monitored more closely and patrolled more vigorously.

CP Rabiu Muhammad, the state’s commissioner of police, gave the people his word that the Command would always work to keep the community safe and secure.

He reaffirmed that in order to fight crime and maintain peace across the state, the Command will continue to cooperate with the military and other security agencies in line with Governor Uba Sani’s security vision and purpose.
