Ronke Oshodi-Oke Defends Tope Alabi Amid Wedding Drama, Praises Iyabo Ojo’s Support
In contrast to Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi, Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has praised her colleague Iyabo Ojo for her ex-husband’s attendance at their daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding.
In March 2025, Tope Alabi’s daughter Ayomikun got married. Her stepfather, Soji Alabi, escorted her down the aisle, although her real father did not attend the wedding.
In contrast, Priscilla, the daughter of Iyabo Ojo, had a father who attended both the traditional and church wedding ceremonies.
Despite their father’s absence, Ronke praised Iyabo Ojo in an appearance on Oyinmomo TV, stating she gave her all for her kids when they were very little.
The actress stated that she will appreciate the mother of two more after learning a valuable lesson from her.
Regarding Tope Alabi’s case, Ronke stated that Nigerians shouldn’t hold the singer responsible for keeping her ex-husband out of her daughter’s wedding, pointing out that Ayomiku is mature enough to express her desires.

“Congratulations to Iyabo Ojo,” she said. Priscilla constantly accompanied her brother around when they were little. She is a mother who is devoted. Seeing Priscilla’s father at the wedding has increased my regard for her. She also taught me a lesson.
“We shouldn’t hold Tope Alabi responsible for denying her daughter’s father a chance to attend her wedding. The 27-year-old girl may have been the one who objected to seeing her father. She is an adult. She would have persuaded her mother if she truly desired her father. Let’s be lenient with Tope, even though I don’t condone her actions. Priscilla must have wanted her father to attend the wedding, which is why you all saw him.
