Wike Has Crossed The Red Line, Must Be Removed from PDP – Bode George

Chief Bode George, a former PDP deputy national chairman, has demanded that Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), be removed from the party.
George argued that by taking away the PDP national secretariat’s land in Abuja, Wike had gone too far and had no right to stay a party member.
George called Wike’s move an outright declaration of war against the PDP in an interview with Arise News on Friday.
He has gone too far, in my opinion. What are you looking for once you pass the red line? What is he doing there now, then? George enquired.
He said that the Minister should be shown the path out of the party and compared Wike’s actions to a son taking over his father’s home.
Why do you believe your father is still a man if you have gone to take over his home? What makes you believe that he is still a party member? The leader of the PDP asked.
George urged the PDP’s leadership to act against Wike, pointing out that remaining silent would be the height of irresponsibility and humiliation.

“No, no, no. These things are simply breaking at the party, you know. The gathering must take place. We must meet the board of trustees’ members and leaders. We hold the party in trust for the party’s members.
“A young man has crossed the line if he said that the PDP party secretariat should be revoked. He’s declared war on everyone. And it’s really unfortunate. If we do nothing, we must be careless elders and leaders,” George remarked.
Biased PDP Disciplinary Committee
According to reports, George also said in the interview that the PDP National Disciplinary Committee, which is chaired by Chief Tom Ikimi, shows prejudice in favor of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
He revealed that this was one of the reasons he declined to join the committee.
“Yes, Atiku Abubakar has the support of the National Disciplinary Committee, which is led by Chief Tom Ikimi, a former Foreign Affairs Minister. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, the secretary of the same committee, is on Atiku’s side, and they suggested that I join them. “No, I cannot,” I replied.
He gave the following explanation for his decision to not serve on the committee: “To start, Tom met me at this party. I can’t work for him. Secondly, the structure of the thing was distorted. Where do you begin, then?
The Supreme Court’s National Secretary ruling
In response to Friday’s Supreme Court decision that reinstated Samuel Anyanwu as PDP National Secretary, George stated that the party must accept the decision and move on.
“Now, I’ve been informed that the Supreme Court once more rendered a decision this morning that I should return,” he stated. We don’t hesitate. There is nothing for us to do. We are no longer able to appeal to anyone. We ought to return.
He pointed out that the PDP national convention, which is anticipated to take place in October or November, will be very important in deciding the party’s course in the face of the current crisis.
