Security Forces Neutralize Terrorists, Recover Arms in Borno and Yobe

In the Morbbar Local Government Area of Borno State, the Nigerian Army troops participating in “Operation Hadin Kai” have eliminated a large number of Boko Haram members. They have also retrieved various weapons and ammunition and stopped an attempted ambush on Monday.

The ambush, which took place Monday, was directed at soldiers from Sector 3’s 145 Battalion, Damasak.

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counterinsurgency specialist, claims that the rebels set off an IED before starting to shoot at the soldiers.

In response, the soldiers practiced anti-ambush tactics, outflanking the assailants and instantly eliminating a large number of them.
