Security Operatives Clean Up Abuja Streets for National Police Day

Under the direction of Commissioner of Police Ajao Adewale, officers from the Federal Capital Territory Police Command carried out a comprehensive street-cleaning exercise across the territory’s several divisions on Wednesday.
As part of the celebrations for 2025 National Police Day, a three-day community engagement program will be held to commemorate the event.
Adewale underlined throughout the ceremony that the exercise’s goal was to illustrate the police’s vital role in the community.

He added that keeping the surroundings tidy and ordered discourages criminal behavior.

“Police have always been involved in environmental sanitation,” he stated. You will find that the cops are always present to enforce compliance whenever a clean-up exercise is announced. Since cleanliness is second only to godliness, we have come to show that we are a part of the community.

We have come to emphasize that crime is deterred by a neat and orderly atmosphere.

Similar exercises are being coordinated by our area commanders in Abaji and Gwagwalada, among other commands.

“We are setting an example because our command headquarters are located in this community.”

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force’s public relations officer, has pledged to take the required steps in response to Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, a police officer in Kaduna State, threatening to revenge for the murder of three northerners in Edo State.

According to reports, Dan-Taki vowed reprisal assaults on Southerners residing in northern Nigeria in a Facebook message in response to the recent lynching of 16 Northern-origin travelers in Uromi, Edo State.

Almighty God promised Dan-Taki that Northerners will act decisively against Southerners within their territory.

“We have to do something for you guys,” he said. “Have you forgotten all your brothers who are leaving here in the North? Make my word, and you will see the results in a week.”

Dan-Taki changed his initial name and blocked access to his Facebook page after his comment was repeatedly criticized, which limited the number of people who could see his posts and comments.

But 𝕏 user UcheDIgboezeson posted a screenshot of Dan-Taki’s post and captioned it, “#Princemoye1, take care of this sir,” tagging Adejobi.

Adejobi said, “Noted for necessary action.” Thank you.
