Soludo Hits Back at Ozigbo Over ‘Laughable’ Allegations

Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has denied the accusations brought against him by Valentine Ozigbo, a candidate for governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ozigbo has asserted that Soludo was afraid he would be the party’s nominee in the upcoming election on November 8, 2025.
He said that if Soludo is asked to swear on a Bible, it will be evident that the governor is supporting Nicholas Ukachukwu in an attempt to undermine the APC.
Christian Aburime, Soludo’s principal press secretary, however, told The Cable that the accusation was a fiction of Ozigbo’s imagination.
“That is laughable,” he remarked. It is a creation of Ozigbo’s mind. Ozigbo ought to confront Ukachukwu and keep Soludo out of their issues. The governor has no affiliation with the APC and is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He is committed to provide the people with the benefits of democracy. He should be excluded from APC politics by Ozigbo.

Since then, Ozigbo has sued the APC in the federal high court in Awka, the capital of Anambra state, over the primary election’s results.
The lawsuit aims to invalidate Ukachukwu’s nomination and force the APC to acknowledge Ozigbo as the legitimate candidate. It names Ukachukwu, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the APC as defendants.
