Sowore Criticizes Tinubu’s Government, Warns More Nigerian Territories May Fall to Terrorists

Former presidential candidate and well-known Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore has criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing security crises around the country.
Speaking through a post on his X account, he mentioned a recent terrorist assault video clip that went viral.
He characterized Tinubu’s administration as ineffectual and bemoaned the possibility that if the situation is allowed to worsen, additional areas of the nation could come under terrorist control.
He asserts that the nation lacks a leadership direction to resolve its security issues at the moment.
“Under the corrupt and ineffectual leadership of @officialABAT, Nigeria’s security situation has drastically worsened, raising the possibility that more significant areas of Nigeria could be taken over by terrorists, as has been the case in Syria,” he tweeted.
The nation of Nigeria currently lacks leadership guidance. “#RevolutionNow”
Sowore, meantime, has declared that Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, cannot be considered the opposition.
During an appearance on Channels Television, he made the argument that Obi has not demonstrated any opposition to the ruling class.
Before the federal elections in 2027, Sowore brushed aside claims that Obi would still be the opposition’s most recognizable figure and restated his long-standing skepticism over the political motivations and influence of the former governor of Anambra State.
However, in terms of actual opposition, he stated. Why anyone calls Peter Obi an opposition figure is beyond me. He has nothing against anything the government does. Despite his claims of victory, he failed to organize his people to fight.
When the cost of petrol rose, he remained silent. He hasn’t done anything that is usually done by an opposition figure.
My stance in 2022 and 2023 is what is happening right now: despite the perception that Peter Obi was against the system and could challenge it, he is actually unable to do so.

The Labour Party, I added at the time, was a short-term rental service, similar to what Americans call Airbnb. When your time is up, you check out; you move in.
They’ll switch the rental to someone else after they’re done with Peter Obi. Obi might be staying for show, or he may not want to leave quite yet, for whatever reason.
Sowore also maintained that religious sentiment produced by the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket was a major factor in Obi’s 2023 rise to prominence.
In response to the Muslim-Muslim ticket controversy, Christians said, “We’ll Christianize Nigeria if you want to Islamize it.” And which Christian applicant was the most accessible? Obi, Peter
The ex-candidate for president contended that Obi had eschewed the street activity, resistance, and mobilization necessary for genuine opposition.
“You must behave as though you are opposition if you claim to be. You won the support of six million people; if you can’t put them all on the streets, at least put 60,000 of them in Abuja to gauge the government’s level of interest.
“It is you who are suppressing protests because you want to replace Tinubu’s group with your own group and don’t want any real change,” he said.
