Uromi Killings: Police Respond to Officer’s Threat Against Southerners in the North

After Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, a police officer in Kaduna State, threatened to revenge for the murder of three northerners in Edo State, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force’s public relations officer, promised to take the appropriate action.
According to reports, Dan-Taki vowed reprisal assaults on Southerners residing in northern Nigeria in a Facebook message in response to the recent lynching of 16 Northern-origin travelers in Uromi, Edo State.
Almighty God promised Dan-Taki that Northerners will act decisively against Southerners within their territory.

“We have to do something for you guys,” he said. “Have you forgotten all your brothers who are leaving here in the North? Make my word, and you will see the results in a week.”

Dan-Taki changed his initial name and blocked access to his Facebook page after his comment was repeatedly criticized, which reduced the number of people who could see his posts and comments.

Adejobi was tagged in a screenshot of Dan-Taki’s post by 𝕏 user UcheDIgboezeson, who captioned it, “#Princemoye1, take care of this, sir.”

Adejobi said, “Noted for necessary action.” Thank you.


Barau Jibrin, the Senate’s deputy president, stated that he wanted justice for the Northerners killed in Uromi, and he made this demand of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
According to reports, Edo State Governor Okpebholo visited Senator Jibrin regarding 16 hunters that were killed in Uromi while they were heading north.

Jibrin stated that the murderers must be held accountable in a statement posted on his 𝕏 handle on Monday.

He praised the Governor’s efforts and asked him to do everything in his power to see that justice was done.
