Idumuje Ugboko Celebrates as HRH Chukwunomso Nwoko IV Receives Staff of Office Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State February,17, 2025 It was a historic and joyous occasion in Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, as His Royal Highness Chukwunomso Justin Nwoko IV was formally presented with the Staff of Office as the Obi of Idumuje Ugboko.
The grand ceremony, held at the royal palace of Idumuje-Ugboko, attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, government officials, and an enthusiastic crowd of indigenes and well-wishers. The event was steeped in tradition, beginning with a procession of elders and chiefs, adorned in regal attire, leading the revered Obi to his seat. Cultural troupes entertained the gathering with vibrant music, dance, and traditional displays that reflected the rich heritage of the Idumuje-Ugboko people.

The president of Idumuje-Ugboko Developement Union, Dr. Christain Chiazor thanked the Delta State Governor His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori for making the event come to past.
Also, he applaud the effort of the Aniocha North Local Government Area ,Chairman Mr. Emma Bazim Chinye for his doggedness in propelling the history making event.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Staff of Office by a representative of the Delta State Government the deputy Governor of the State His Excellency Mr. Monday Onyeme, signifying official recognition of HRH Chukwunomso Nwoko IV as the rightful custodian of the Idumuje Ugboko throne. In his address, the Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area Mr. Emma Bazim Chinye commended the people of Idumuje Ugboko for their unity and emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting traditional institutions in fostering peace and development.
In his acceptance speech, Obi Chukwunomso Nwoko IV expressed gratitude to his people, elders, and the state government for their unwavering support. he reaffirmed his dedication to upholding the customs and traditions of Idumuje Ugboko while fostering progress and development in the community. This is not just an honor to me, but a call to service. I pledge to lead with wisdom, fairness, and a deep commitment to the welfare of my people. Together, we will build a stronger and more prosperous Idumuje Ugboko, the monarch declared. He also emphasized the importance of education, youth empowerment, and economic development, urging his subjects to work together in unity and peace.
The occasion was graced by notable traditional rulers from across Delta State and beyond, including Dr. Gabreil Ogbechie MD Rainoil Limited, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza the Commissioner for Special Duties. The Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Emeka Nwaobi  representatives from the Aniocha North Local Government Traditional Council. They lauded Obi Chukwunomso Nwoko for his leadership qualities and urged him to uphold the integrity of the throne. Several political figures, business leaders, and community stakeholders also took turns to congratulate the newly confirmed monarch.
Many described the event as a defining moment in the history of Idumuje Ugboko, marking the beginning of a new era of peace and progress. Following the formal presentation, the celebration continued with a lavish feast, traditional dances, and masquerade performances. The air was filled with jubilation as the people of Idumuje Ugboko expressed their joy through music and festivity.
