Bauchi Government Dismisses Principal for Unauthorized School Property Sales

Due to egregious misconduct, the Bauchi State government has authorized the immediate dismissal of Malam Musa Ahmed Ningi, the principal of Government Day Secondary School in Kirfi.
Garba Muhammad Bashe, the permanent secretary of the Bauchi State Teachers’ Service Commission, signed a statement announcing the development.
Adamu Shehu, a senior teacher at the school, was also dismissed by the Commission after he was found guilty of conspiring with the principal to unlawfully sell some government-owned school property.
The Commission claims that 32 scrap student beds, nine large aluminum cooking pots, and an unknown quantity of roofing zinc were among the goods traded.
The two cops were found guilty of the charges by the commission’s four-member investigative committee.
The Commission authorized the two officers’ one-grade demotion and directed their transfer to a different school as part of the disciplinary procedure.

The Commission claimed that both officers will reimburse the estimated ₦597,000 value of the sold products in a statement that its Information Officer, Dahiru Adamu, sent to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday.
Furthermore, in order to settle the allowance owing to the school’s casual workers, the principal must return ₦72,000.
In order to establish responsibility and recover stolen goods, the Commission also promised to work with security services.
