Since amorous attempts happen in other professions, Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has argued that the allegations of sexual exploitation in the industry are not unique to it.
In a recent interview on Nollywood on Radio, the director reportedly stated that success in Nollywood is ultimately determined by skill.
According to the 51-year-old actor, it would be a waste of time to sell one’s body without talent.
The actor claims that although “people can use what they have to get what they want,” skill is crucial in the field.
“One thing I tell people is to bring out those who claimed to have raped them in the industry,” he stated.
“We are grownups. Consent is present. It is likely that they will ask you out if you go to school. Doctors may ask you out if you work as a nurse. You may be asked out by patients. You agree if you like.
