Folarin Falana, commonly known as Falz, a popular singer and activist, has accused President Bola Tinubu of failing to uphold his primary obligation of protecting people and property in the country.
He criticised the President for neglecting to address the country’s rising insecurity.
He said this on his X account in response to the latest massacre in Benue State.
The ‘This Is Nigeria’ singer claimed that Tinubu has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unable of carrying out his basic job of protecting lives and property.
He underlined that the President’s usual statement ignores the issue of insecurity.
Falz said, “You have continuously demonstrated that you are incapable of performing your main job of protecting the lives and property of your constituents.”This routine statement is insufficient.”
Falz complained in another post that the killings in Benue are not receiving adequate attention.
He stated, “Over 200 people have been senselessly killed and burned alive in Benue, and this is not receiving nearly enough attention.”Why are we so bad to ourselves?”

Meanwhile, Falz has denied having a relationship with the controversial crossdresser Idris Okunneye, also known as Bobrisky.
It was remembered that in 2024, social media critic VeryDarkMan, better known as VDM, revealed Falz’s claimed phone conversation with Bobrisky while the latter was in prison.
Falz sued VDM for defamation after the news triggered widespread homosexual suspicion about him.
Amidst the ongoing legal battles with VDM, Falz denied having a connection with Bobrisky in an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, claiming that he merely attempted to help.
Falz updated VDM on the court matter, adding that the social media critic has yet to enter the defense.
He stated, “The legal matter is still ongoing. There is a substantive claim in which my father and I allege defamation. We filed the case, and they have never defended it since. They instead filed a preliminary objection, claiming that the court lacks authority to hear the matter or something.
I was in court on my last date. The court has overruled the preliminary objection. They now have to file a defense or the court will simply rule on the case. So that’s the update. I can’t really say anything about the present dispute, so I’ll leave it at that.
“I’d never had a relationship with Bobrisky before that phone call.” He messaged me on Instagram and said, ‘I’m in this situation, and I’d like to talk to you about how you can help. And thousands of people have messaged me about similar topics. This is not a unique circumstance; it is not exceptional in any manner.
“In a lot of those circumstances, I’ll give them an audience and ask them what the P is and how I can help. Compassionately. Little did I realize. Anyway, as the saying goes, “Once bitten, twice shy”. At the end of the day, I’m not going to, and I may never help somebody again in my life, but I might be a lot more conscious.”
