“We’re Working” – Anyanwu Stands Firm, Keeps Position Despite NWC’s Nod to Ude-Okoye

According to Senator Samuel Anyanwu, he continues to serve as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its Wadatta headquarters in Abuja.
Anyanwu said he was working with his staff and keeping an eye on individuals who wanted to scale the barrier during a video conference with Lere Olayinka, Special Media Advisor to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, on Thursday.
According to reports, in accordance with an Enugu Appeal Court decision, the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT), presided over by Senator Adolphus Wabara, directed the National Working Committee to formally install Sunday Ude-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary.

The party’s NWC swore in Ude-Okoye as its National Secretary on Wednesday, despite Senator Anywanwu rejecting the BoT’s order.
“The NWC overwhelmingly recognizes, acknowledges, and confirms Rt. Hon. S.K.E. Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the PDP in full compliance and obedience to the Court of Appeal’s judgment after giving careful consideration to the memo and its attachments. It also recognizes that there isn’t any superseding or surviving judgment or order from any court of higher authority or hierarchy.”

In accordance with the Court of Appeal’s ruling, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, signed a statement that stated, “The NWC has begun the transmission of its Resolution/Decision affirming Rt. Hon. S.K.E. Udeh Okoye as the PDP National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant bodies for recognition.”

But according to the video call between Olayinka and Anyanwu that Olayinka shared on his X Twitter on Thursday, Aynanwu is still in the workplace.
