Phyno Refutes Claims of Selling N10bn Estate, Advising Igbos Against Investing in Lagos

Following a journalist’s accusation that he sold his N10 billion Lagos home to an Arab businessman due to tribalism, Nigerian musician Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, better known by his stage name Phyno, responded.
According to the journalist, Phyno claimed that investing in the Yoruba region, where his Igbo people are not accepted, was a mistake.
The journalist JustSociety4All claimed that musician Phyno had sold his N10 billion Lagos estate to a Libyan Arab man in a since-deleted tweet. Building such an estate in Yoruba territory, where he believes his people are not accepted, was a mistake, according to Phyno.

“The last election opened my eyes,” he said. It appears that the animosity for Igbos will never go away. I’m moving my estate to Enugu so that my people may use it effectively and it will be protected for many years, rather than constructing on Yoruba land.
In response, Phyno called the news a “lie” and questioned the journalist’s motivation.
“You are a fool for fabricating this kind of lie!” he wrote. With this, where are you going? Anwu nta.
