2027: Okonkwo Predicts Coalition Will Shake APC

In the 2027 general elections, Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council, has voiced confidence that a group of influential politicians will defeat President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Okonkwo stated that the alliance, which consists of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other major figures, has the framework and plan to win.

“Remember that I am a member of the coalition.” I can give you information regarding this coalition’s engine room, which many people are unaware of. By 2027, APC won’t know what hit them,” Okonkwo stated.

The coalition has reportedly applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to create a new political party, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), although Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has denied the reports.

Keyamo said the action was disproportionate and lacked political substance in a June 20, 2025, tweet. In contrast to the APC’s creation in 2013, he contended, no recognized political parties are participating in the purported merger. He claims that a formal coalition or party merger is not equivalent to the organization behind ADA’s registration, which is made up of a small number of people exercising their constitutional rights.
