EPL: Arsenal Held to 1-1 Draw by Brentford, Miss Chance to Close Gap on Liverpool

After a 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday, Arsenal wasted another opportunity to get closer to Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The starting lineup that defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the Champions League saw five changes made by Gunners manager Mikel Arteta.
The first half concluded without a goal, demonstrating the hosts’ lackluster performance.
However, Thomas Partey’s first-time goal gave Arsenal the lead in the second half.

After a swift counterattack, Partey was on the receiving end of a Declan Rice pass and rifled the ball home.
But thanks to Yoanne Wissa’s improvised finish, Brentford made sure they got a share of the points.
As a result, Arsenal is now 10 points behind Liverpool, who play West Ham on Sunday, with 63 points.
