Adebayo Urges Atiku and El-Rufai Not to Use SDP for Personal Attacks on Tinubu Ahead of 2027

The 2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has informed former Kaduna State governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other opposition leaders that they are not permitted to use the party to fight President Bola Tinubu personally in the run-up to the general elections in 2027.
On Monday evening, Adebayo informed the guests at his wife Queen Lillian Adebayo’s 50th birthday celebration in Abuja that SDP is not a getaway vehicle for a heist or conspiracy.
He insisted, nevertheless, that he was still a contender for the presidency in 2027.

According to reports, El-Rufai, who just defected from the APC to the SDP, and Atiku, the PDP’s 2023 presidential contender, are leading the coalition.
In 2027, Atiku had declared the formation of an opposition coalition with the goal of overthrowing Tinubu.
It goes without saying that my party is aware of my candidacy for the 2027 election. We’re listening to the coalition, though. It is not our intention to serve as a getaway vehicle for an unplanned conspiracy or robbery. Adebayo stated, “That isn’t available.”
“The SDP is available if the alliance truly represents the Nigerian people. They should return to Tinubu and settle their concerns with him if it is merely a crime hotspot for disgruntled supporters. We are not participating in any fights, so don’t come to SDP to borrow us for one,” he continued.
All Progressives Congress chieftain Ayekooto Akindele recently stated that Atiku and El-Rufai will lose to Tinubu in 2027 even if they join up with terrorists like Abubakar Shekau and Bello Turji.
Akindele stated that when it rotates back to the North in the near future, Atiku and El-Rufai should never be permitted near power.
