Baba-Ahmed Breaks Silence on Tinubu, Shettima’s Political Ties Ahead of 2027

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the former Special Adviser on Political Affairs to President Bola Tinubu in the Office of Vice President Kashim Shettima, has spoken candidly about Tinubu’s relationship with Shettima.
Rumor has it that Tinubu may fire Shettima before the general elections in 2027, rather than merely ignoring him.
The ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, has occasionally been forced to refute the allegations, claiming they are unfounded.
As you may remember, Baba-Ahmed, a former spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, or NEF, resigned from his position as President Bola Tinubu’s political adviser.

Some groups accused him of resigning after realizing that Tinubu no longer cared about the vice president.
When the former NEF commander appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, he was asked to explain the relationship between the top and bottom people.
“I didn’t see that,” he said. It seems strange to me. To be honest, I believe those rumors are made up between the two of them.
“I didn’t really talk to the President. I never had a conversation with Tinubu about his feelings for Shettima.
However, I talked to Shettima. I can only tell you from Shettima’s point of view. Shettima doesn’t seem to think he’s been neglected.
He doesn’t seem to think Tinubu has any grudges against him. I observed an effective president and vice president. There was a synergy.
