Bello Turji on the Run: Army Chief Pledges to Pursue, Eliminate Him

Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, has reaffirmed the military’s commitment to track down and kill Bello Turji, the infamous bandit leader.
While on an operational visit to Zamfara State on Thursday, the COAS announced the new commitment.

According to Oluyede, Bello Turji can continue to flee, but the military would eventually catch up to him and destroy him.
According to reports, Oluyede made this statement while briefing reporters at the Operation Fansan Yamma Headquarters in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.

“Bello Turji is currently on the run, and we pursue him wherever he goes. The army chief stated, “Let him continue to run; he will eventually be taken out of the area.”

Oluyede went on to say that the Nigerian Army had killed a number of bandit commanders in recent months, demonstrating the army’s notable accomplishments in the area.

He continued by saying that the military’ morale is still good as they pursue criminals and protect civilians’ lives and property.

“We are pursuing them, and we plan to keep doing so. The battle against the bandits is no different. We have slain well-known bandit commanders including Samaila, Boga, and Boderi in the past few months. They’re all dead.

The theater commander, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, gave the army chief an operational report after he had already examined the quarter guard.
