Head coach Aliyu Zubairu of the Flying Eagles has responded to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations draw.
Along with Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco, the record seven-time champions have been drawn into Group C.
According to experts, the Flying Eagles have a favorable draw, but Zubairu thinks that Africa no longer has any minor teams.

He told Soccernet.ng, “I think it is time we stopped looking at some teams as bigger and others as smaller.”
“It all depends on your level of preparation; I don’t think there is any minor opposition in Africa anymore.”
On Monday, April 28, the Flying Eagles will play their first game of the competition against Tunisia.
The competition will take place in Egypt from April 27 to May 18, 2025.
