NPFL: Finidi George Speaks After Kano Pillars Defeat Rivers United 2-0

Finidi George, Rivers United’s technical adviser, admitted that Kano Pillars had earned their victory in the Matchday 35 match.
According to reports, Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali scored goals in Friday’s 2-0 loss to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
For the rest of the season, Finidi stated, his team will focus on earning as many points as possible in their next home games.
In a post-game interview, Finidi said, “If we look at the overall performance with the chances created, Kano Pillars deserved to win.”
“I am very confident that we can win our home games, but we need to go back and see how we can do that.”
With 58 points, Rivers United is still in second place in the league standings.
After Kano Pillars’ thrilling 2-0 victory against Rivers United on April 25, Remo Stars are now just one victory away from winning their first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) championship.
Ahmed Musa’s goal in the 64th minute broke the tie during Kano Pillars’ impressive performance during the NPFL game at Sani Abacha Stadium.
Rabiu Ali’s penalty kick in the 76th minute sealed the victory, giving Pillars a dramatic victory. Rivers United is now at 58 points after 35 games as a result of this defeat.

With 65 points from 34 games, the Remo Stars are in first place and their upcoming game is crucial since they just need to win once to win the title.
With 65 points, Remo Stars are currently leading the league, followed by Rivers United at 58. Bendel and Kano Pillars complete the top six with 50 points each, however Pillars has one more game left. Ikorodu City and Abia Warriors are level at 53 points.
