Victor Osimhen: “Fame Is Boring” – Inter in Race to Sign Lookman

By calling fame “boring” and “constricting,” Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has provided a unique window into the emotional toll of his international fame.
In an interview with Instablog TV, Osimhen discussed the drawbacks of celebrity and how it frequently deprives him of small pleasures.
“I like to hang out with these folks [residents of Olusosun].” I prefer to remain in their vicinity. For me, being famous is dull. In reference to the Olusosun neighborhood in Lagos, where he was raised, Osimhen remarked, “There are times when you want to go outside but you can’t do a lot of things.”
In Italy and his native Nigeria, the 25-year-old has become a cult icon. He disclosed how his fame has impacted even parenthood.

When my relatives came to visit us in Italy, I wanted to take my daughter somewhere, but I was unable to give her much attention on our first outing. I was only capturing photos and videos after I had to hand her to my sister. “Like I said, being famous is boring,” he continued.
Even if he struggles with attention, Osimhen is still a key player in Nigerian football and a top target in the European transfer market.
His permanent transfer to Galatasaray, a Turkish team he played with on loan from Napoli last season, is almost complete.
Lookman is pushed for by Inter Milan. Putting a signature
In the club’s pursuit of Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has up the ante, referring to the next few days as “crucial” in deciding the player’s future.
“The Lookman deal will be very important this week,” Marotta said.
We appreciate Atalanta, but we also want Ademola Lookman, thus we are in negotiations for him. If we can’t close the deal in two to three days, we’ll move on and concentrate on other players.
This summer, Lookman is in high demand after dazzling the 2023–2024 season with a spectacular hat-trick in the Europa League final.
According to reports, Atalanta is holding out for a hefty amount, but Inter Milan see him as a dynamic alternative to bolster their offensive depth ahead of a new season.
