WAEC Suspends Access to Online Result Portal

The result checker portal has been suspended for 24 hours, according to the West African Examination Council’s (WAEC) Nigerian office.
The Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, said in a statement that a technical fault had caused the result checker portal to be temporarily suspended.
“WaEC hereby notifies the public that the result checker portal @waecdirect.org is temporarily shut down due to technical issues,” the notice stated.
The Council is diligently trying to guarantee that applicants can view their results within the next day, nonetheless.

Recall that on Monday, the Council announced the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Across Nigeria, 1,973,365 students from 23,554 accredited secondary schools registered for the main exam.
In reality, 1,969,313 of these applicants took the test.
Interestingly, the test was not just held in Nigeria; applicants also came from schools that employ the Nigerian curriculum, such as Equatorial Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and the Benin Republic.
