What Has PDP Achieved Since You Left Office? – Wike’s Aide Fires Back at Lamido

Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has been retaliated against by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, for accusing his principal of breaking the law by closing the Wadata Plaza Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat.
According to reports, Lamido called for Wike’s expulsion and accused him of being a disaster in the PDP after the FCT Administration closed the party’s headquarters due to unpaid ground fees that had been outstanding for 28 years, despite repeated warnings since September 2023.
In a succinct statement, Olayinka said that Wike is a strong supporter of the rule of law and would never put up with impunity.
Wike’s assistant emphasized that the former Rivers State governor was not interested in getting involved in a verbal spar with Lamido and was still focused on enforcing adherence to FCT standards.
After leaving office in 2015, Olayinka questioned Lamido’s contributions to the PDP and further rejected his comments.

“Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, is not a part of Sule Lamido’s society of lawlessness and impunity,” he declared. According to him, everyone must abide by the laws when interacting with the FCT.
“We don’t have time to talk to someone who continues to act as though the PDP is all about his Jigawa, where he is the party’s beginning and finish.
“Aside from Sule Lamido and his kids as the party’s candidates, what has the PDP produced in Jigawa since he stepped down as governor in 2015?”
