Why the South Should Lead Nigeria Till 2031 – Musawa Explains

To maintain equity and balance, Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, has said that authority should stay in the South for the upcoming term.
President Bola Tinubu, who hails from the South-West, was said to have succeeded former President Muhammadu Buhari, who hails from the North-West.
With the newly established alliance on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), there have been discussions regarding which area should produce the president in the 2027 election. However, Musawa stated that, for the purpose of fairness, power should remain in southern Nigeria.

Musawa said during a Friday appearance on Channels Television that he hoped Nigeria would someday get to a stage when candidates are evaluated only on their ability. Nevertheless, she admitted that the nation is still a long way off.
It makes sense, she argued, that power has to move to the South following eight years of Northern President Buhari. Because of the current situation, power will be with the southern presidency for the next two to four years. Hopefully, power will remain with the southern presidency for the next four years in order to maintain that kind of equilibrium.
One day, maybe, we’ll be able to get past it and evaluate people only on their qualifications and assets. But since we haven’t arrived yet, power should undoubtedly stay in the southern region of the nation for the next four to six years in order to help this politics. To maintain equilibrium, power should remain in the south over the ensuing six years.
