Breaking: Fuel Crisis Imminent as Dangote Refinery Plans to Halt Supply to Nigeria

After talks over the naira-for-crude deal stagnated, Dangote Refinery is planning to stop supplying petroleum products to the Nigerian market.
However, because the refinery currently purchases all of its crude oil in dollars from the global market, people familiar with the situation informed TheCable that it will continue loading goods for export.
In the past, the refinery used a crude supply agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. to buy oil in local currency and sell it to Nigerian marketers in naira.

The refinery’s supply to the domestic market will be suspended as the agreement is now final and no new conditions have been agreed upon.

There will be more updates soon.
