Yul Edochie Attributes Rising Deaths in Southeast to Angry Ancestors

Yul Edochie, a Nigerian actress, has voiced alarm about the country’s rising rate of early deaths, especially in the southeast.
The director reportedly advocated for a return to ancient religious rituals.
In a post on his Facebook page, Edochie said he was confused by the quantity of obituary posters he spotted while driving from Anambra State to Arochukwu in Abia State.

He claims that society’s disregard for conventional methods is the cause of the high rate of premature deaths.

He urged Nigerians to embrace traditional religion in order to re-establish a connection with their roots, claiming that the spirits of the ancestors are upset about their negligence.

According to him, doing so would result in spiritual purification and aid the nation in overcoming its obstacles.

Aligning with ancestor spirits, according to Edochie, would enable them to fight fights on behalf of people and communities.

He emphasized the necessity for profound spiritual intervention in Nigeria.

“I saw a lot of obituary posters when I drove from Anambra to Arochukwu, Abia state,” he wrote. Too many premature and premature deaths. And the reason for this is that we gave up our old customs. Our spirits and ancestors are furious. In order for our ancestors and spirits to support us in our struggles, we need to return to our old faith. Spiritual purification is necessary for our culture.
